The salt marshes are a classified world heritage site and simply cannot be missed when visiting this region of France. Come and discover the salt factories and learn about how sea salt is produced. To better understand the history of the salt marshes, the Terre de Sel marshes organise a great range of themed visits, including presentations about what it’s like to be a salt worker, night walks through the salt factories, wildlife explorations, sensory and gastronomic experiences – there’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy!
